Our Mission
What’s Up Worcester, Inc. is a nonprofit community media organization committed to informing,
engaging and empowering the people of Worcester, Massachusetts. Through accessible,
accurate, and inclusive news coverage, storytelling, and public forums, we amplify
underrepresented voices, promote civic participation, and provide educational resources that
enhance public understanding of local issues, opportunities, and community life. Our work is
nonpartisan, community-driven, and dedicated to fostering a more connected, informed, and
inclusive Worcester.
Our Leadership


Meagan brings her energy, personality, and community connections to What’s Up Worcester. As VP, she helps lead partnerships, outreach, and program development while also hosting the popular segment A Minute with Meagan, where she highlights local businesses, nonprofits, and changemakers. Her voice and presence make the community feel seen and supported.

Reanna Filmore manages the financial health of What’s Up Worcester, ensuring that our resources are handled with transparency and accountability. As Treasurer, she plays a key role in budgeting, fundraising oversight, and making sure our mission is financially sustainable for the long haul.

Together, we’re writing Worcester’s story.
Purpose Clause
The Corporation is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable and educational
purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the
corresponding section of any future federal tax code. Such purposes include, but are not limited
to, providing accessible, nonpartisan community news and information; promoting civic
engagement; offering educational programming, public forums, and media literacy initiatives;
and amplifying underrepresented voices to foster a more connected, informed, and inclusive
community in Worcester, Massachusetts. No part of the net earnings of the Corporation shall
inure to the benefit of any private shareholder or individual, and no substantial part of its
activities shall be the carrying on of propaganda, or otherwise attempting to influence legislation,
nor shall it participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distribution of statements)
any political campaign on behalf of any candidate for public office.
Starting July 2025, we’re continuing our mission under a new nonprofit organization, but with the same team and logo you know and love.
